Our Work
Plastic Collection
At Eko Bloks Mauritius, we collect
non-recyclable plastic for building blocks.
So much of the packaging we get our food and products in is non-recyclable.
Packaging like clingwrap, plastic straws, plastic food tray packaging, aluminium containers, foil chip packets,
most plastic bags etc.
This non-recylable plastic ends up in landfills and waterways, being exposed to the elements and releases harmful toxins
into the environment.
You can help!
Collect the non-recyclable plastic waste in your home and follow our tutorials on how to make your own Eko Bloks.

Education and Outreach
We believe that education and awareness are the key to reducing plastic waste.
That's why we offer workshops and educational programs to schools, community groups, and businesses.
Be advocates for the environment!
Our goal is to promote sustainable living and inspire others to take action.
Reach out to us if you would like to arrange for us to visit your organisation for an enlightening and practical demonstration on Eko Bloks.
Building Community
We are committed to building a strong and sustainable community.
By using our blocks, you can create structures that are not only environmentally friendly but also durable, cost-effective and long-lasting.
Eko Bloks are free to make!
Our blocks are perfect for building homes, schools, community centers, a variety of different forms of shelters like bus stops and animal kennels, and even furniture.
They will serve your community and are a positive way to impact the future for generations to come.
What is an Eko Blok?
An Eko Blok is a sustainable building block made from non -recycleable plastic. These blocks are created by densely packing used plastic into a mold, resulting in a durable and eco-friendly construction material. Eko Bloks are designed to be versatile, lightweight, and long-lasting, making them suitable for a wide range of construction projects. From furniture and garden walls to entire structures, Eko Bloks offer a sustainable alternative to traditional building materials. By repurposing plastic waste into valuable resources, Eko Bloks contribute to environmental conservation and community development efforts.
